[150722] Waspomania! This Week at Funny Fintan

[INCOMING COMMUNIQUE]
Hello I.M.B.E.R,
It's Friday again, and you know what that means! Welcome the Wasptastic [150722] issue of This Week at Funny Fintan, a weekly intergalactic broadcast on the progress of Incolatus. This week at Funny Fintan, we celebrate everyone's favourite little Ormyk. Welcome to Wasp-o-mania!
All About Ormyk Pt. III
Last week I showed off two brand new models of Ormyk to grace the Tigris Nix armada in the 2022 demo. This week, we're bringing it back to the classics. Get ready for the;
Return of the Queen

The Wasp returns in 2022! With a much older coat of paint, the iconic symbol of last year's convention circuit has been reworked to fit into the new art style with awkward welds, oil leaks and scratches galore! The decision was made to mostly keep this staple of Incolatus mostly the same in silhouette as we're all big fans of it at the studio. Still serving the main function of grunt on the ground, the Wasp is the main infantry of the corporation, but don't underestimate them, or you might wind up with an untimely head melting!
Cordyceps

The Wasp family expands! Well not really. The cordyceps is a gross mutation of the Wasp which has seen a lot, to say the least. These wasps have been overtaken by the dark fungus of Xyzanthynum and torn apart by its hungry grasp. Some call them Zombie robots, or 'Zormyk.'
Not that I do.
That's dumb.
But they do very much act brainless, and as their circuitry slowly rots, these wasps forget their programming and prefer to aimlessly wack with their arms towards combatants rather than bothering to aim conventional weapons.
This has been part three of All About Ormyk! Stay tuned next week for more reveals about the Ormyk! Specifically to do with ants and termites :)
FLASH/CUT/FLASH/CUT
Keeping in theme with Wasps and tearing apart. Here's Zia to talk about our new Flashcut system which you'll use to shred Wasps to bits;

This week I've been working on an enemy dismemberment system and I've been breaking ground on your new abilities, starting with an ability innate to you: the Flashcut! When you enter your portal, ready your blade to create a flurry of Xyth energy which galvanises the Ormyk and lets you lock on and slash through them within hundredths of millions of seconds.
You can paint up to 3 targets at a time, but it is dependent on how much portal charge you hold. The dismemberment system works in tandem with the flashcut - reducing the once fully limbed Ormyk into something akin to scrap metal. The gameplay footage you see here is very WIP and is subject to heavy changes. In future iterations, the limbs will fly off as separate objects, and your Veles will be animated in all its glory.

Tune in next week to learn more about upcoming gameplay systems!
That's all Imber!
